1. If you rent out your house make sure to tell the cleaners your booked turn over days. If you are home owner I would pick a Tuesday or Wednesday to have your house cleaned with a week end quick clean up. Since most cleaners do rental turn over on friday or Saturday.

2. Landscapers are being asked to give bids for the summer, it has become a more common practice and it helps to know what the landscaping might cost you for the year.

3. Book important restaurant reservations with your favorite tables on those special dates. I know I am a builder but even I do this to make sure I have a perfect view of the sunset at The Galley Beach ( they have a new chef this year and are bound to be booked up way in advance)

4. Beach Stickers so that you don’t have to wait in line in the summer.

5. If you have been thinking of putting in an outdoor shower. Say something sooner rather than in June so that you don’t have be around when it is being built.

6. Check your Deck for  rotten wood. If you don’t have a caretaker to do this for it I would make sure your home is safe and have an inspector or qualified person to do this. Houses are exposed to a ton of wind and rain and one can never be to careful. A.B. Though most homes we build are large it is always a great idea to maximize your space to it’s fullest potential, and small apartment have lots of good ideas. The Sconset house tour  (every summer on Nantucket ) is also a great place to get some space saving ideas. The little cottages in Sconset are built like boats, every nook and crannie is utilized.
